This month, we are taking a closer look at holiday celebrations across South East Asia.

Specifically, we will be exploring how Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar celebrate their holidays. Holiday celebrations across South East Asia are rich and diverse, reflecting the unique cultures and traditions of each country. Whether you are in Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia with their colorful festivals and delicious cuisine, each country offers a unique blend of traditions and customs that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

For this month’s recommendations, we have a new retreat in Mai Chau – The Avana Retreat Mai Chau. The retreat offers a peaceful and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in the picturesque valley of Mai Chau, Avana Retreat Mai Chau is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a range of activities such as cycling, hiking, and exploring the local culture. This is also the ideal location for honeymooners looking for a romantic break, families looking for a special time together, and people seeking a restorative retreat.

And summer is of course the season for green getaways: Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and Tad Yuang (Tad Gneuang) are popular destinations thanks to their natural beauty. Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is known for its stunning caves and underground rivers, while Tad Yuang is famous for its picturesque waterfalls and lush greenery. Both destinations offer a unique opportunity to connect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Lastly, Cambodian Pepper Beef (Lok Lak) is a popular Cambodian dish made with tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a delicious sauce. It is usually served with steamed rice and can be easily prepared at home for a cosy family dinner.
