CRUISE HIGHLIGHT PAKSE – WAT PHOU – 4000 ISLAND (LMC02)

Upon arrival at Pakse airport, be picked up and driven to Saravanh province via Tateng. On the way, visit the majestic Tad Fane waterfall. Continue on to the traditional local farm where people make tea and coffee. Spend some time venturing off the beaten path and explore some of the lesser-known areas of Laos which are still remained the wild beauty of this southern region.

Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, drive to Tad Lo waterfall, visit some local villages of Alak, Nge, Katu, the ethnic groups in Laos. The area has endless fertile plains with paddy fields, fruit orchards, and rare species of flora and fauna.

Day 1

PAKSE – TADLO (L)

Day 2

TADLO – PAKSE – WAT PHOU – DON KHONG (B-L)

After early breakfast, head out toward Khong Island. En route make a short detour to visit Pha Suam waterfall and Lao Teung village. Continue traveling by road via Pakse town. Continue to visit the ruins of Wat Phou, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. Explore these Khmer ruins, perched on top of a hill, this wonderful archeological site of Khmer civilization dated back to the 9- 12th centuries. Wat Phou was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. Continue on to the 4000 islands region by catching a motorboat to Done Khong.

Day 3

DON KHONG – KHONE ISLAND – PAKSE (B-L)

After breakfast, visit the surrounding countryside on board a long tail boat. In the Don Khone area, visit the Liphi Waterfall or "the Corridor of the Devil". Return to the mainland at Ban Nakasang, a fishing village and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng, the biggest and the most impressive waterfall in the South East Asia. The surrounding area is dense with lush vegetation and is teeming with wildlife making it one of the loveliest destinations in Laos.

Back to Pakse. Overnight in Pakse.

PAKSE – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, relax until departure to the airport.
